    This little gem in Capitol Hill has been around forever. The interior could use some updating but you'll find some of the best hotdogs around right here ! A  Coney with everything (chili, cheese, onion, mustard) Will set you back around two dollars apiece with tax.  Cheap eats! CASH ONLY!!

    Reliving my childhood!

    Food

    Amazing! When I took the first bite my childhood visits to this place flashed back to me. The taste is incredible and exactly what I remember when my daddy would bring my sister and I here. I am surprised by how the flavor is still spot on after 20 something years.

    Customer-service

    The reason I had to give it three stars is because the staff was not welcoming. Especially the two ladies who were fixing the hot dogs. They were rude and seemed bothered. I specifically said "everything except for onions" and onions were added and when I brought it to her attention she began saying something to the other lady in their language. This is far from the service we received when the owners were there. They always remembered us and greeted us with a warm welcome. You always felt like family, but today I didn't feel that.

    Today, the food took me back but the service was horrible. O yea, and they only take cash.

    This is a second location for the famous Coney Island.  The other one is located on W. Main Street and Walker downtown. Not sure which location was made first, but there's definitely consistency between the two. This location is bigger and a little nicer than the one downtown. Parking is a lot easier here too. Great hot dogs and chili. Free refills on tea. The staff is so friendly here, much more so than the other location downtown. I'll definitely be back.

    TIP: Get cash before you come. They are cash only.

    Such a fun little place to have a quick lunch with your family. The hotdogs surprised me with their red color but taste so good! Love love love.

    I grew up eating hot dogs from this south OKC joint!

    Iffy part of town?
    Yeah. Sure.
    (That said, well, no one in his or her right mind ever said that Capitol Hill was Nichols Hills' kid sister, pal.)

    Tasty (albeit not exactly highly nutritious!) food?
    Absolutely -- no doubts about it.

    Cash only -- don't forget that part. (Kind of a pain in the ass, but, hey, it's cheap eats.)

    All in all, an OKC institution that you're almost obligated to try at least once. That part's indisputable.
